A pet came to our hospital/rescue/shelter, how can we get owner information or report found pet?
For privacy reasons we don't share pet owner information but we built a system that alerts the owner securely that his/her pet is found.
Without a microchip number we cannot really help. Once you know the microchip number please follow the steps below:
- Google the microchip number or enter it in the search box here. If the pet is registered with Save This Life, then the link to the pet will appear below the Search button. If nothing appears or an error is returned then the microchip is not registered and we cannot really help. No need to continue on the next steps or call us because we cannot help.
- If the link appeared then Click on it and you will see the pet information. Click on Contact Pet Parent button, enter your phone number and email, check yes if pet need medical attention and once you hit Send Text & Email button we will securely contact the pet parent with your information so he/she can contact you to arrange reuniting the pet home.
